Position: Youth Development Specialist – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: Milton Hershey School, a renowned private school established in 1909 by Milton and Catherine Hershey, is seeking married couples to serve as Flex Houseparents. These couples reside in on-campus student homes, providing guidance and nurturing to a group of 8-12 students from disadvantaged backgrounds, ensuring a supportive and family-like environment for the students.
Requirements: Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings; this is a two-person job for legally married couples with at least two years of marriage; both spouses should be age 27 or older; no more than three dependent children may reside in the student home; abide by campus rules such as no smoking, weapons, or alcohol on duty, limitations on pets; valid driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans; comfortable leading students in daily devotions and taking them to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services; high school diploma or GED required; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; demonstrate a high degree of integrity as role models for students; both spouses must complete individual employment applications.
