Position: Youth Development Specialist – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: Milton Hershey School, a renowned private school founded in 1909 by Milton and Catherine Hershey, is seeking married couples to become flex houseparents. Flex houseparents provide guidance and care to groups of 8-12 students in on-campus student homes, offering a family-like structure and handling various responsibilities.
Requirements: Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served backgrounds; couples must be legally married for at least two years; both spouses should be aged 27 or older; abide by campus regulations including smoke-free, weapon-free environment, and restrictions on pets; valid driver’s license and ability to drive student home vans; comfortable leading students in daily devotions and chapel services; high school diploma or GED required; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; demonstrate high integrity and act as role models for students; both spouses must complete individual employment applications.
Benefits: Salary of $43,825 per person ($150,000 per couple including benefits and free housing), comprehensive benefits (medical, dental, vision insurance, etc.), relocation assistance, paid training, 9 days on followed by 3 days off schedule, 3-week paid summer vacation
