Position: Youth Development Specialist – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: Milton Hershey School (MHS) is an esteemed private school providing a transformative education to students from pre-K through 12th grade with disadvantaged backgrounds. The school, fully endowed by Milton and Catherine Hershey in 1909, offers comprehensive support covering housing, meals, and educational costs, ensuring both students and staff thrive in a nurturing environment. MHS is seeking married couples to serve as flex houseparents on campus, offering guidance and care for small groups of students in a family-like setting.
Requirements: Experience working or volunteering with youth, especially from under-served environments; this is a joint role for married couples with a minimum of two years of marriage, both spouses aged 27 or above, no more than three dependent children in the student home, adherence to campus policies including no alcohol on duty and limitations on pets, possession of a valid driver’s license, willingness to lead students in daily devotions and attend Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services, high school diploma or GED, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, exemplary integrity as staff serve as role models for students, completion of individual employment applications by both spouses.
