Position: Youth Development Specialist – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: Milton Hershey School, a renowned private educational institution founded in 1909 by Milton and Catherine Hershey, is hiring married couples to serve as flex houseparents for students from disadvantaged backgrounds. Flex houseparents provide mentorship and a family-like structure for a small group of students, ensuring their well-being and development within the school’s unique residential setting.
Requirements: Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings; must be a legally married couple for at least two years and both spouses should be age 27 or older; high school diploma or GED required; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; candidates must demonstrate a high degree of integrity as role models for students; valid driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans; comfortable leading students in daily devotions and taking them to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services (Note: Proselytizing is prohibited)
