Position: Youth Development Specialist – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: Milton Hershey School (MHS) is a renowned private educational institution offering career-focused education and support to students from pre-K through 12th grade from underprivileged backgrounds. Founded in 1909 by Milton and Catherine Hershey, MHS provides a fully endowed environment where students and staff thrive together in a nurturing community. MHS is currently seeking married couples to join as flex houseparents, residing on-campus to provide guidance and support to groups of students, fostering a family-like atmosphere while managing daily responsibilities.
Requirements: Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings; this is a two-person job limited to legally married couples with at least two years of marriage; both spouses aged 27 or older; no more than three dependent children allowed in the student home; adhere to campus rules including no smoking, weapons, or alcohol on duty, limited pets policy, possession of a valid driver’s license and ability to drive student home vans; comfortable leading students in devotions and attending Sunday chapel services; high school diploma or GED; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; high integrity and role modeling skills; both spouses to submit individual employment applications.
