Position: Youth Development Specialist – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: Milton Hershey School, a renowned private educational institution founded in 1909 by Milton and Catherine Hershey, is seeking married couples to serve as Flex Houseparents. These couples provide a stable and nurturing environment for students from pre-K through 12th grade, offering a career-focused education with all expenses covered, including housing and meals. Flex Houseparents guide and nurture a group of 8-12 students in an on-campus setting, fostering a family-like structure and handling various responsibilities to support student development.
Requirements: Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably in under-served settings; couples must be legally married for at least two years and both spouses should be aged 27 or older; no more than three dependent children may reside in the student home; must have a high school diploma or GED; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; valid driver’s license and the ability to become certified to drive student home vans; comfortable leading students in daily devotions and taking them to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services; must demonstrate a high degree of integrity as role models for students; both spouses must complete an individual employment application
