Position: Youth Development Specialist – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: Milton Hershey School is a renowned private school offering career-focused education to students from pre-K through 12th grade in Hershey, PA. The school provides housing, meals, and comprehensive support to students from disadvantaged backgrounds, all funded by its endowment established by Milton and Catherine Hershey in 1909. Currently, they are looking to hire married couples as Flex Houseparents to nurture and guide groups of approximately 8-12 students in on-campus student homes.
Requirements: Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings; this is a two-person job for couples who have been legally married for at least two years; both spouses should be age 27 or older; no more than three dependent children may reside in the student home; abide by campus regulations including no smoking, weapons, or alcohol while on duty; limitations on pets with only fish and one approved breed of dog allowed; valid driver’s license and ability to drive student home vans; comfortable leading students in daily devotions and taking them to Sunday chapel services; high school diploma or GED required; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; high degree of integrity and role-model behavior expected; both spouses must complete individual employment applications.
