Position: Youth Development Specialist – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: Milton Hershey School, a renowned private school founded in 1909 by Milton and Catherine Hershey, is seeking married couples to serve as Youth Development Specialists (Flex Houseparents). This unique opportunity involves providing a nurturing family environment for 8-12 students from disadvantaged backgrounds, ensuring their well-being and development. Flex Houseparents play a crucial role in guiding and supporting students’ daily activities and needs, contributing to their educational and personal growth within a structured and caring setting on the school’s campus.
Requirements: Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings; both spouses must be legally married for at least two years and aged 27 or older; high school diploma or GED required; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; valid driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans; comfortable leading students in daily devotions and taking them to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services; demonstrate a high degree of integrity as a role model for students
