Position: Youth Development Specialist – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: Milton Hershey School (MHS) is a renowned private school offering exceptional career-focused education and support to students from pre-K through 12th grade from disadvantaged backgrounds. Founded in 1909 by Milton and Catherine Hershey, the school provides housing, meals, and full coverage of all costs, ensuring a thriving environment for both students and staff. MHS is currently seeking married couples to join as flex houseparents, residing in on-campus student homes to guide and nurture a group of approximately 8-12 students, providing a family-like structure and handling various responsibilities like driving, medication administration, and budgeting.
Requirements: Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings; Both spouses must be legally married for at least two years; Both spouses should be age 27 or older; High school diploma or GED required; Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs; Candidates must demonstrate a high degree of integrity as role models for students; Valid driver’s license; Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
