Position: Youth Development Specialist – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: Milton Hershey School (MHS) is a renowned private school offering a career-focused education to students from pre-K through 12th grade with disadvantaged backgrounds. Founded in 1909 by Milton and Catherine Hershey, the school provides housing, meals, and comprehensive support for both students and staff to ensure a thriving environment. MHS is seeking married couples to serve as flex houseparents, residing in on-campus student homes to guide and nurture groups of students, offering a family-like structure and fulfilling various responsibilities.
Requirements: Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably in under-served settings; legally married for at least two years; both spouses aged 27 or older; no more than three dependent children in the student home; abide by campus rules including no smoking, weapons, or alcohol on duty; limitations on pets; valid driver’s license; ability to become certified to drive student home vans; comfortable leading students in daily devotions and Sunday chapel services; high school diploma or GED; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; demonstrate a high degree of integrity; both spouses must complete individual employment applications.
