Position: Youth Development Specialist – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: The Milton Hershey School, located in Hershey, Pennsylvania, is seeking Youth Development Specialists to serve as Flex Houseparents for students from disadvantaged backgrounds. This unique role involves married couples living on campus, providing a family-like environment, managing daily responsibilities, engaging in student activities, and upholding the school’s values of integrity and leadership for student well-being.
Requirements: High school diploma or GED required; experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably in under-served settings; couples must be legally married for at least two years and both spouses should be 27 years or older; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; valid driver’s license; comfortable leading students in daily devotions and taking them to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services; no more than three dependent children in the student home; abide by campus policies such as smoke-free, weapon-free, and alcohol-free environment; pets limited to fish and one approved breed of dog; both spouses must complete individual employment applications.
