Position: Youth Development Specialist – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: Milton Hershey School, a renowned private institution founded in 1909 by Milton and Catherine Hershey, is seeking Married Couples to serve as Youth Development Specialists – Flex Houseparents. In this unique role, couples will reside in on-campus student homes, providing a family-like structure and guidance to groups of students from underserved backgrounds, ensuring their educational journey is supported. Flex houseparents are integral to maintaining a cohesive and nurturing environment for students, handling various responsibilities such as driving, medication administration, and budgeting.
Requirements: Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably in under-served settings; legally married for at least two years; both spouses aged 27 or older; limit of three dependent children in the student home; smoke-free and weapon-free campus policy; valid driver’s license; high school diploma or GED; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; high degree of integrity; completion of individual employment applications by both spouses
