Position: Youth Development Specialist – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: Milton Hershey School is a renowned private institution providing exceptional education and support for students from pre-K through 12th grade, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds. The school, founded in 1909 by Milton and Catherine Hershey, offers a fully endowed program covering all educational and living expenses to ensure students’ success in a nurturing environment. The school is currently seeking married couples to serve as Flex Houseparents on campus, guiding and supporting groups of students in various aspects of daily life.
Requirements: Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably in under-served settings; this is a two-person job for couples married for at least two years; both spouses must be age 27 or older; no more than three dependent children may reside in the student home; abide by campus regulations including a smoke-free, weapon-free policy and no alcohol while on duty; limitations on approved pets; valid driver’s license and ability to drive student home vans; comfortable leading students in daily devotions and attending Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services (Note: Proselytizing is prohibited); high school diploma or GED required; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; high degree of integrity and role model behavior expected; both spouses must complete individual employment applications.
