Position: Youth Development Specialist – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: Milton Hershey School, a renowned private school founded in 1909 by Milton and Catherine Hershey, is seeking married couples to serve as Flex Houseparents. This unique role involves providing guidance and a family-like environment for students from disadvantaged backgrounds, offering them a career-focused education along with housing, meals, and comprehensive support.
Requirements: High school diploma or GED required; experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings; couples must be legally married for at least two years and both spouses should be age 27 or older; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; valid driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans; must demonstrate integrity and serve as a role model for students; comfortable leading students in daily devotions and chapel services; limit of three dependent children in the student home; adhere to campus rules including no smoking, weapons, or alcohol on duty; limitations on pets with only fish and one approved breed dog allowed.
