Position: Youth Development Specialist – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: Milton Hershey School is a renowned private educational institution in Hershey, Pennsylvania, providing a transformative career-focused education for students from disadvantaged backgrounds from pre-K through 12th grade. The school offers free housing, meals, and comprehensive support, thanks to the generous endowment by Milton and Catherine Hershey. Currently, the school is seeking married couples to serve as flex houseparents, providing nurturing guidance and support to groups of students within a family-like environment on campus.
Requirements: Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings; legally married for at least two years; both spouses aged 27 or older; limit of three dependent children in the student home; abide by campus rules including no smoking, weapons, alcohol on duty, and limited pet policy; valid driver’s license; ability to drive student home vans; comfortable leading students in devotions and to chapel services; high school diploma or GED; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; high integrity and role model behavior for students; both spouses to complete individual employment applications
