Position: Youth Development Specialist – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: Milton Hershey School, a prestigious private school founded in 1909 by Milton and Catherine Hershey, provides an exceptional career-focused education, including housing and meals, to students from disadvantaged backgrounds in grades pre-K through 12. They are currently seeking married couples to serve as Flex Houseparents, guiding and nurturing groups of 8-12 students in a family-like setting on campus.
Requirements: Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings; this is a two-person job for legally married couples with both spouses aged 27 or older; no more than three dependent children may reside in the student home; abide by campus rules including a smoke-free and weapon-free environment with limitations on pets; valid driver’s license and ability to drive student home vans; comfortable leading students in daily devotions and to Sunday chapel services; high school diploma or GED required; must be able to lift up to 50 lbs; demonstrate a high degree of integrity as role models for students; both spouses must complete individual employment applications
