Position: Youth Development Specialist – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: Milton Hershey School, a renowned private educational institution founded in 1909 by Milton and Catherine Hershey, is seeking married couples to serve as Flex Houseparents. This unique role offers stability and guidance to students from disadvantaged backgrounds, providing a family-like structure with various responsibilities including transportation, medication administration, and budgeting, ultimately making a significant impact on students’ lives.
Requirements: High school diploma or GED required; experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings; married couples legally married for at least two years; both spouses age 27 or older; no more than three dependent children may reside in the student home; smoke-free and weapon-free campus policy; valid driver’s license; ability to become certified to drive student home vans; ability to lead students in daily devotions and take them to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; high degree of integrity as role models; completion of individual employment applications for both spouses.
