Position: Youth Development Specialist – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: Milton Hershey School, a renowned private school founded in 1909 by Milton and Catherine Hershey, offers a unique educational experience for students from pre-K through 12th grade. The school provides housing, meals, and comprehensive support, ensuring that all students from disadvantaged backgrounds receive a quality education at no cost. Currently, MHS is seeking married couples to serve as Flex Houseparents, residing on campus and guiding a small group of students to foster a family-like environment and support their development and well-being.
Requirements: Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably in under-served settings; this is a two-person job for legally married couples with at least two years of marriage and both spouses aged 27 or older; no more than three dependent children allowed in the student home; adherence to campus rules including no smoking, weapons, alcohol while on duty, limitations on pets; valid driver’s license and ability to drive student home vans; comfortable leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Sunday chapel services; high school diploma or GED required; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; integrity and role-model behavior expected; both spouses must complete individual employment applications.
