Position: Youth Development Specialist – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: Milton Hershey School (MHS) is a renowned private school offering a comprehensive education to students from pre-K through 12th grade. Founded in 1909 by Milton and Catherine Hershey, MHS provides housing, meals, and full support for students from disadvantaged backgrounds. MHS is currently seeking married couples to join as flex houseparents, residing on campus to guide and nurture groups of students, providing a family-like environment and essential care.
Requirements: Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably in under-served settings; couples must be legally married for at least two years; both spouses aged 27 or older; no more than three dependent children in the student home; smoke-free and weapon-free campus policy; valid driver’s license and ability to drive student home vans; comfortable leading students in daily devotions and attending Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services; high school diploma or GED required; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; high degree of integrity as role models for students; completion of individual employment applications by both spouses
Benefits: Salary of $43,825 per person ($150,000 per couple including benefits and free housing), comprehensive benefits (medical, dental, vision insurance, etc.), relocation assistance, paid training, 9 days on/3 days off schedule, three-week paid summer vacation
