Position: Youth Development Specialist – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: Milton Hershey School is a renowned private school offering exceptional career-focused education to students in pre-K through 12th grade from disadvantaged backgrounds. The school provides housing, meals, and comprehensive support at no cost to the students or staff, thanks to the generous endowment by Milton and Catherine Hershey in 1909. Currently, MHS is seeking married couples to serve as flex houseparents, nurturing and guiding a group of students in a supportive on-campus environment.
Requirements: Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings; This is a two-person job for legally married couples with at least two years of marriage; Both spouses should be 27 years or older; No more than three dependent children allowed in the student home; Must have a high school diploma or GED; Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; Valid driver’s license and ability to drive student home vans; Comfortable leading students in daily devotions and to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services; Demonstrated high integrity as role models for students; Both spouses must complete individual employment applications
