Position: Youth Development Specialist – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: Milton Hershey School, a renowned private school founded in 1909 thanks to the generosity of Milton and Catherine Hershey, is seeking married couples to serve as flex houseparents. This unique role involves providing guidance and support to students from disadvantaged backgrounds, fostering a family-like environment, and overseeing daily activities within on-campus student homes.
Requirements: Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings; this is a two-person job for legally married couples with spouses aged 27 or older; no more than three dependent children in the student home; abide by campus regulations including no smoking, weapons, or alcohol while on duty; limitations on pets; valid driver’s license; ability to become certified to drive student home vans; comfortable leading students in daily devotions and taking them to Sunday chapel services; high school diploma or GED required; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; demonstrate a high degree of integrity; both spouses must complete an individual employment application
