Position: Youth Development Specialist – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: Milton Hershey School is a renowned private school offering a nurturing educational environment to students from pre-K through 12th grade from disadvantaged backgrounds. The school provides housing, meals, and comprehensive education at no cost, thanks to the generous endowment by Milton and Catherine Hershey in 1909. Currently, MHS is seeking married couples to serve as flex houseparents, residing in on-campus student homes and providing guidance and support to a group of approximately 8-12 students.
Requirements: Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings; this is a two-person job for legally married couples with at least two years of marriage, both spouses aged 27 or older; no more than three dependent children in the student home; abide by campus regulations including no smoking, weapons, or alcohol on duty; limitations on pets; valid driver’s license and ability to drive student home vans; comfortable leading students in devotions and chapel services; high school diploma or GED; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; demonstrate integrity and serve as role models for students; both spouses must complete individual employment applications.
