Position: Youth Development Specialist – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: Milton Hershey School (MHS) is a renowned private institution offering a career-focused education to students from pre-K through 12th grade, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds. Founded in 1909 by Milton and Catherine Hershey, MHS provides comprehensive support including housing, meals, and full coverage of all expenses to ensure the success of both students and staff members. Currently, MHS is seeking married couples to join as flex houseparents, residing in on-campus student homes to care for and guide a small group of students.
Requirements: Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably in under-served settings; couples must be legally married for at least two years; both spouses aged 27 or older; no more than three dependent children in the student home; adhere to campus regulations including no smoking, weapons, or alcohol on duty; limited pet policy allowing only fish and one dog of approved breeds; possess a valid driver’s license and ability to drive student home vans; comfortable leading student devotions and attending Sunday chapel services; high school diploma or GED required; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; demonstrate high integrity as role models for students; both spouses must submit individual employment applications.
