Position: Youth Development Specialist – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: Milton Hershey School, a renowned private school in Hershey, PA, is seeking married couples for the role of Youth Development Specialists as flex houseparents. These individuals will create a supportive and family-like environment for students from underprivileged backgrounds, offering guidance, managing daily tasks, and fostering a nurturing atmosphere within on-campus student homes. The school, founded in 1909 by Milton and Catherine Hershey, provides students from pre-K through 12th grade with a comprehensive career-focused education, including housing and meals covered at no cost.
Requirements: High school diploma or GED required; experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably in under-served settings; married for at least two years; both spouses aged 27 or older; no more than three dependent children in the student home; valid driver’s license; ability to become certified to drive student home vans; comfortable leading daily devotions and taking students to Sunday chapel services; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; high degree of integrity; completion of individual employment application
