Position: Youth Development Specialist – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: Milton Hershey School (MHS) is a renowned private school offering exceptional career-focused education and full support for students in pre-K through 12th grade from underprivileged backgrounds. Founded in 1909 by Milton and Catherine Hershey, the school provides housing, meals, and all educational expenses, ensuring a nurturing environment for both students and staff to thrive. MHS is currently seeking married couples to serve as flex houseparents, residing on campus to guide and support groups of students in a family-like setting.
Requirements: Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably in under-served settings; couples must be legally married for at least two years; both spouses aged 27 or older; no more than three dependent children in the student home; adherence to campus regulations including smoke-free, weapon-free policy, and alcohol restrictions; valid driver’s license and ability to drive student home vans; comfortable leading students in daily devotions and attending Sunday chapel services; high school diploma or GED; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; high integrity and role model behavior for students; completion of individual employment applications by both spouses
