Position: Youth Development Specialist – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: Milton Hershey School, located in Hershey, PA, is a renowned private institution offering a career-focused education to students from pre-K through 12th grade from underprivileged backgrounds. Couples serving as flex houseparents provide guidance and support to a small group of students in a family-like home environment on campus. As part of this unique role, houseparents participate in various responsibilities, including driving and administering medication, creating a nurturing atmosphere for the students.
Requirements: High school diploma or GED required; experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings; couples must have been legally married for at least two years; both spouses should be age 27 or older; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; valid driver’s license; must become certified to drive student home vans; comfortable leading students in daily devotions and chapel services; no more than three dependent children in the student home; abide by campus regulations including smoke-free, weapon-free policies; must complete individual employment applications; high degree of integrity required as staff are role models for students.
