Position: Youth Development Specialist – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: Milton Hershey School (MHS) is a renowned private school offering a comprehensive education from pre-K through 12th grade to students from underprivileged backgrounds. Founded in 1909 by Milton and Catherine Hershey, MHS provides a fully endowed environment where both students and staff have all necessities for success. MHS is currently seeking married couples to serve as flex houseparents, residing in on-campus student homes and providing support and guidance to a small group of students.
Requirements: Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings; this is a two-person job for couples who have been legally married for at least two years; both spouses should be age 27 or older; no more than three dependent children may reside in the student home; abide by campus regulations including smoke-free, weapon-free, and no alcohol on duty; limitations on pets, allowing only fish and one approved dog breed; valid driver’s license; ability to become certified to drive student home vans; comfortable leading students in daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services (without proselytizing); high school diploma or GED required; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; demonstrate a high degree of integrity as role models for students; both spouses must complete individual employment applications.
