Position: Youth Development Specialist – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: Milton Hershey School, a renowned private institution, is seeking dedicated married couples to serve as Youth Development Specialists. This unique role involves acting as flex houseparents, providing guidance and care to groups of 8-12 students from underprivileged backgrounds. Responsibilities include driving, medication administration, and budget management, with a focus on creating a supportive and family-like environment on campus.
Requirements: High school diploma or GED required; experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably in under-served settings; age requirement of 27 or older for both spouses; couples must be legally married for at least two years; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; valid driver’s license and certification to drive student home vans; comfort leading students in daily devotions and to Sunday chapel services; adherence to campus rules including no alcohol while on duty; must be smoke-free and weapon-free on campus; maximum of three dependent children allowed in the student home; demonstrate high integrity and serve as a role model for students; completion of individual employment applications by both spouses
