Position: Youth Development Specialist – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: Milton Hershey School (MHS) is a renowned private school offering pre-K through 12th-grade education to students from disadvantaged backgrounds. Founded in 1909 by Milton and Catherine Hershey, MHS provides a career-focused education with comprehensive support including housing, meals, and all expenses covered. MHS is currently seeking married couples to join as flex houseparents, residing in on-campus student homes to nurture and guide a group of students in a family-like environment.
Requirements: Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably in under-served settings; couples must be legally married for at least two years; both spouses should be age 27 or older; limit of three dependent children in the student home; adhere to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus, no alcohol while on duty; restrictions on pets – only fish and one approved breed of dog allowed; valid driver’s license and ability to drive student home vans; comfortable leading students in daily devotions and taking them to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services (without proselytizing); high school diploma or GED required; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; demonstrate high integrity as a role model for students; both spouses must complete individual employment applications.
