Position: Youth Development Specialist – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required

About: The Milton Hershey School, located in Hershey, PA, is seeking Youth Development Specialists in the form of married couples to serve as Flex Houseparents. This unique private school offers students from disadvantaged backgrounds in pre-K through 12th grade a career-focused education with comprehensive support including housing and meals, all at no cost. The school, established in 1909 by Milton and Catherine Hershey, is fully endowed to provide a nurturing environment for both students and staff.

Requirements: Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings; This is a two-person job for legally married couples with a minimum of two years of marriage; Both spouses should be 27 years or older; No more than three dependent children allowed in the student home; Adherence to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus, with no alcohol while on duty; Limitations on pets, only fish and one approved breed dog allowed; Valid driver’s license, ability to drive student home vans; Comfortable leading students in daily devotions and attending Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services; High school diploma or GED required; Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; Demonstrate high integrity as role models for students; Complete individual employment applications for both spouses.
