Position: Youth Development Specialist – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: Milton Hershey School, a renowned private educational institution founded in 1909 by Milton and Catherine Hershey, is seeking married couples to serve as Flex Houseparents. This unique role involves creating a family-like environment in on-campus homes and providing guidance and support to students from underprivileged backgrounds, ensuring their overall well-being and development within a supportive educational setting.
Requirements: High school diploma or GED required; experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from underserved settings; couples must be legally married for at least two years and both spouses should be age 27 or older; no more than three dependent children may reside in the student home; abide by campus regulations including a smoke-free and weapon-free environment, limitations on pets, and no alcohol while on duty; valid driver’s license and ability to drive student home vans; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; high degree of integrity and ability to serve as a role model for students; both spouses must complete individual employment applications.
