Position: Youth Development Specialist – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: Milton Hershey School (MHS) is a renowned private school offering exceptional career-focused education and full support to students from pre-K through 12th grade from disadvantaged backgrounds. The school, established in 1909 by Milton and Catherine Hershey, is fully endowed to provide all necessary resources for student and staff success. MHS is currently seeking married couples to join as flex houseparents, residing in on-campus student homes to support and guide groups of students in a family-like environment.
Requirements: Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings; couples must be legally married for at least two years and both spouses should be age 27 or older; no more than three dependent children may reside in the student home; abide by campus rules including smoke-free, weapon-free environment with no alcohol on duty; limitations on pets with only fish and one approved dog permitted; valid driver’s license and ability to drive student home vans; comfortable leading students in daily devotions and attending Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services; high school diploma or GED required; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; high integrity and role model behavior expected as staff; both spouses must complete individual employment applications.
