Position: Youth Development Specialist – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: Milton Hershey School (MHS) is a prestigious private educational institution that offers a comprehensive career-focused education and full support to students from pre-K through 12th grade, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds. Founded in 1909 by Milton and Catherine Hershey, the school is fully endowed to ensure the success and well-being of both students and staff. MHS is currently seeking married couples to join as flex houseparents, residing in on-campus student homes to provide guidance and support to a group of approximately 8-12 students, offering a family-like environment and handling various responsibilities.
Requirements: Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably in under-served settings; couples must be legally married for at least two years; both spouses should be age 27 or older; no more than three dependent children allowed in the student home; abide by campus regulations including no smoking, weapons, or alcohol on duty; limited pet policy; valid driver’s license and certification to drive student home vans; comfortable leading students in devotions and attending Sunday chapel services; high school diploma or GED required; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; demonstrate high integrity as role models for students; both spouses must complete individual employment applications.
