Position: Youth Development Specialist – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: Milton Hershey School, a renowned private school founded in 1909 by Milton and Catherine Hershey, provides a career-focused education, housing, and meals to students from pre-K through 12th grade from disadvantaged backgrounds. The school is fully endowed to ensure both students and staff have all the resources needed to thrive. Currently, the school is seeking married couples to serve as Flex Houseparents, residing on-campus and nurturing groups of 8-12 students each, providing a family-like structure and handling various responsibilities.
Requirements: Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably in under-served settings; couples must be legally married for at least two years; both spouses should be age 27 or older; limit of three dependent children in the student home; smoke-free and weapon-free campus policy; possession of a valid driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans; comfortable leading students in daily devotions and attending Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services; high school diploma or GED; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; high degree of integrity; completion of individual employment application by both spouses.
