Position: Youth Development Specialist – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: Milton Hershey School, a renowned private school established in 1909 by Milton and Catherine Hershey, is seeking married couples to serve as Flex Houseparents, providing a family-like environment for students from pre-K through 12th grade from disadvantaged backgrounds. Flex Houseparents offer guidance, structure, and care for students in on-campus student homes, ensuring a nurturing and supportive atmosphere.
Requirements: Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings; this is a two-person job for couples who have been legally married for at least two years; both spouses should be age 27 or older; limit of three dependent children in the student home; must abide by campus regulations including a smoke-free and weapon-free environment; valid driver’s license, ability to become certified to drive student home vans; comfortable leading students in daily devotions and taking them to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services; high school diploma or GED required; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; demonstrate a high degree of integrity and be a positive role model for students; both spouses must complete an individual employment application.
