Position: Youth Development Specialist – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: Milton Hershey School, a renowned private school founded in 1909 by Milton and Catherine Hershey, is seeking married couples to serve as Flex Houseparents. This unique role involves providing guidance and support to 8-12 students in on-campus homes, creating a family-like environment for youth from disadvantaged backgrounds to thrive.
Requirements: Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings; this is a two-person job for legally married couples with a minimum of two years of marriage; both spouses should be age 27 or older; no more than three dependent children allowed in the student home; must abide by campus rules including a smoke-free and weapon-free environment, no alcohol on duty, limitations on pets, valid driver’s license, and ability to drive student home vans; comfortable leading students in daily devotions and attending Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services; high school diploma or GED required; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; must exemplify high integrity as role models for students; both spouses must complete individual employment applications.
