Position: Youth Development Specialist – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: Milton Hershey School, a leading private educational institution in Hershey, Pennsylvania, is seeking Youth Development Specialists in the form of flex houseparents, offering a unique opportunity for married couples to provide guidance and support to students from underprivileged backgrounds. The school, established in 1909 by Milton and Catherine Hershey, provides a comprehensive education from pre-K through 12th grade, including housing and meals, with all costs covered.
Requirements: Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably in underserved settings; this is a two-person job for couples who have been legally married for at least two years; both spouses should be age 27 or older; no more than three dependent children may reside in the student home; abide by campus rules including no alcohol while on duty, smoke-free and weapon-free environment, limitations on pets, and commitment to student activities such as driving and attending chapel services; valid driver’s license, ability to become certified to drive student home vans; high school diploma or GED required; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; demonstration of integrity and role model behavior for students; completion of individual employment applications by both spouses.
