Position: Youth Development Specialist – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: Milton Hershey School, a renowned private school founded in 1909 by Milton and Catherine Hershey, is seeking Youth Development Specialists to serve as flex houseparents. This unique position offers a family-like environment for students in pre-K through 12th grade from disadvantaged backgrounds, with all costs covered, including housing and meals. Flex houseparents provide guidance and support to students in on-campus homes, promoting growth and spiritual development in a nurturing community setting.
Requirements: High school diploma or GED required; experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably in under-served settings; legally married for at least two years; both spouses age 27 or older; no more than three dependent children in the student home; valid driver’s license; ability to become certified to drive student home vans; comfortable leading students in daily devotions and to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; high degree of integrity as role models for students
