Position: Youth Development Specialist – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: Milton Hershey School, a renowned private school established in 1909 by Milton and Catherine Hershey, is currently seeking married couples to serve as Flex Houseparents. This unique role involves providing guidance and support to a small group of students from disadvantaged backgrounds, ensuring a family-like environment and offering a career-focused education with covered housing and meals.
Requirements: Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings; This is a two-person job for legally married couples with at least two years of marriage; Both spouses should be age 27 or older; No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home; Abide by campus regulations including no smoking, weapons, or alcohol on duty; Limitations on pets with only fish and one approved dog breed allowed; Valid driver’s license and ability to drive student home vans; Comfortable leading students in daily devotions and to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services (Proselytizing prohibited); High school diploma or GED required; Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs; Demonstrated high integrity as role models for students; Both spouses must complete individual employment applications.
