Position: Youth Development Specialist – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: Milton Hershey School (MHS) is a renowned private school offering a career-focused education to students from pre-K through 12th grade from disadvantaged backgrounds. Founded in 1909 by Milton and Catherine Hershey, the school provides all-inclusive support for students and staff to ensure their success. MHS is currently seeking married couples to serve as flex houseparents, residing in on-campus student homes to provide guidance and support to a group of students.
Requirements: Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings; This is a two-person job for legally married couples with at least two years of marriage; Both spouses should be age 27 or older; No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home; Abide by campus regulations including smoke-free, weapon-free environment, and no alcohol on duty; Limitations on pets – only fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed; Valid driver’s license; ability to become certified to drive student home vans; Comfortable leading students in daily devotions and taking them to Judeo-Christian Sunday services; High school diploma or GED required; Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs; Candidates must demonstrate a high degree of integrity; Both spouses must complete an individual employment application
