Position: Youth Development Specialist – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: Milton Hershey School (MHS) is a renowned private educational institution offering a career-focused education and full support to students from pre-K through 12th grade who come from disadvantaged backgrounds. Founded in 1909 by Milton and Catherine Hershey, the school is fully endowed to ensure the well-being and success of both students and staff. MHS is currently seeking married couples to join as flex houseparents, providing guidance and care for groups of students within an on-campus living setting.
Requirements: Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings; This is a two-person job for legally married couples with at least two years of marriage; Both spouses should be age 27 or older; No more than three dependent children allowed in the student home; Abide by campus regulations including no smoking, weapons, or alcohol while on duty; Limitations on pets – only fish and one approved dog breed allowed; Valid driver’s license and ability to drive student home vans; Comfortable leading students in devotions and taking them to Sunday chapel services; High school diploma or GED required; Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs; Demonstrate high integrity and serve as role models for students; Both spouses must submit individual employment applications.
