Position: Youth Development Specialist – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: Milton Hershey School (MHS) is a renowned private school offering a comprehensive education to students from pre-K through 12th grade from disadvantaged backgrounds. Established in 1909 by Milton and Catherine Hershey, MHS provides a fully endowed environment for students and staff, nurturing their development and success. MHS is currently seeking married couples to join as flex houseparents, residing in on-campus student homes and providing crucial support and guidance to groups of students.
Requirements: Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings; this is a two-person job for couples who have been legally married for at least two years; both spouses should be age 27 or older; no more than three dependent children may reside in the student home; abide by campus regulations including a smoke-free and weapon-free environment, no alcohol while on duty, limitations on pets, valid driver’s license; ability to become certified to drive student home vans; comfortable leading students in daily devotions and taking them to Sunday chapel services; high school diploma or GED required; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; demonstrate a high degree of integrity; both spouses must complete individual employment applications.
