Position: Youth Development Specialist – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: Milton Hershey School, a renowned private school founded in 1909 by Milton and Catherine Hershey, provides a unique career-focused education with housing, meals, and comprehensive support for students from disadvantaged backgrounds. The school is seeking married couples to serve as Flex Houseparents, residing on-campus to guide and nurture groups of 8-12 students in a family-like environment, encompassing responsibilities like transportation, medication administration, and budgeting.
Requirements: Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings; this is a two-person job for legally married couples with at least two years of marriage and both spouses aged 27 or older; no more than three dependent children in the student home; abide by campus regulations including no smoking, weapons, or alcohol on duty; limited pet permissions; valid driver’s license and ability to drive student home vans; comfortable leading students in daily devotions and attending Sunday chapel services; high school diploma or GED required; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; demonstrate integrity and serve as role models for students; both spouses must complete individual employment applications.
