Position: Youth Development Specialist – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: Milton Hershey School, a renowned private school founded in 1909 by Milton and Catherine Hershey, is seeking married couples to serve as Youth Development Specialists, also known as flex houseparents. This unique role involves providing guidance and nurturing to 8-12 students from disadvantaged backgrounds, creating a family-like environment within on-campus student homes. The school covers all costs for students, including housing, meals, and education, offering a comprehensive career-focused learning experience.
Requirements: Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings; This is a two-person job for legally married couples with at least two years of marriage; Both spouses should be age 27 or older; High school diploma or GED required; Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.; Candidates must demonstrate a high degree of integrity as role models for students; Both spouses must complete an individual employment application
