Position: Youth Development Specialist – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: Milton Hershey School (MHS) is a renowned private school offering career-focused education from pre-K through 12th grade to students from disadvantaged backgrounds. Founded in 1909 by Milton and Catherine Hershey, MHS is fully endowed and provides students and staff with all necessary support for success. MHS is currently seeking married couples to become Flex Houseparents, residing in on-campus student homes and providing guidance and care for groups of 8-12 students, ensuring a family-like atmosphere.
Requirements: Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably in under-served settings; couples must be legally married for at least two years and both spouses should be aged 27 or older; no more than three dependent children allowed in the student home; smoke-free and weapon-free campus policy; limitations on pets with only fish and one approved dog breed permitted; valid driver’s license and ability to drive student home vans; comfortable leading students in daily devotions and attending Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services; high school diploma or GED required; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; high integrity and role-model behavior expected; completion of individual employment applications by both spouses.
