Position: Youth Development Specialist – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: Milton Hershey School, a renowned private school founded in 1909 by Milton and Catherine Hershey, is seeking married couples to work as Flex Houseparents. In this unique role, couples guide and nurture a group of students within on-campus living environments, providing structure and care for youth from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Requirements: Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings; must be a legally married couple for at least two years; both spouses should be age 27 or older; high school diploma or GED required; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; must demonstrate a high degree of integrity; valid driver’s license; willingness to lead students in daily devotions and attend Sunday chapel services; no more than three dependent children in the student home; adhere to campus policies such as smoke-free, weapon-free, and no alcohol while on duty; limitations on pets, with only approved breeds allowed.
Benefits: Salary of $43,825 per person (total compensation package of approximately $150,000 per couple including free housing, meals while on duty, and utilities); comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, health savings and flexible spending accounts, life insurance, disability options, and retirement savings; relocation assistance and paid training provided; nine days on, three days off schedule with personal time during student school hours; three-week paid summer vacation.
