Position: Youth Development Specialist – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: Milton Hershey School (MHS) is a renowned private school offering career-focused education and comprehensive support to students from pre-K through 12th grade with disadvantaged backgrounds. Founded in 1909 by Milton and Catherine Hershey, MHS ensures a nurturing environment for both students and staff by providing all necessary resources for success. MHS is currently seeking married couples to join as flex houseparents, residing on-campus to mentor and care for groups of students, fostering a family-like atmosphere and handling various responsibilities.
Requirements: Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings; candidates must be legally married for at least two years; both spouses should be age 27 or older; high school diploma or GED required; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; demonstrate a high degree of integrity as role models for students; valid driver’s license; willingness to lead students in daily devotions and attend Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services (without proselytizing)
Benefits: Salary of $43,825 per person (total compensation of approx. $150,000 per couple including housing and meals), comprehensive benefits (medical, dental, vision insurance, etc.), relocation assistance, paid training, 9 days on and 3 days off schedule, 3-week paid summer vacation
