Position: Youth Development Specialist – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: Milton Hershey School, a renowned private school founded in 1909 by Milton and Catherine Hershey, is seeking married couples as Flex Houseparents to provide guidance and support to youth from under-served backgrounds. This unique opportunity offers a family-like environment for approximately 8-12 students in each on-campus student home, fostering a structured and nurturing atmosphere.
Requirements: Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings; This is a two-person job for legally married couples with at least two years of marriage and both spouses aged 27 or older; No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home; Abide by campus rules including a smoke-free, weapon-free environment, and no alcohol while on duty; Limitations on pets allowed; Valid driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans; Comfortable leading students in daily devotions and attending Sunday chapel services; High school diploma or GED required; Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs; Demonstrated high integrity as role models for students; Both spouses must complete individual employment applications.
