Position: Youth Development Specialist – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: Milton Hershey School, a renowned private educational institution founded in 1909 by Milton and Catherine Hershey, is seeking Youth Development Specialists in Hershey, PA. This unique role involves married couples residing in student homes, providing guidance and support to youth from disadvantaged backgrounds, fostering a family-like environment, administering care, and ensuring a safe space for approximately 8-12 students.
Requirements: High school diploma or GED required; experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings; couples must be legally married for at least two years and both spouses should be age 27 or older; no more than three dependent children may reside in the student home; must abide by campus regulations including a smoke-free and weapon-free environment; valid driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans; comfortable leading students in daily devotions and taking them to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services; able to lift up to 50 lbs; high degree of integrity as all staff are role models for students.
