Position: Youth Development Specialist – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: Milton Hershey School (MHS) is a renowned private educational institution offering a comprehensive career-focused education to students from pre-K through 12th grade, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds. Established in 1909 by Milton and Catherine Hershey, the school is fully endowed, providing students and staff with all necessary resources for a thriving educational environment. MHS is currently seeking married couples to serve as flex houseparents, residing on campus to guide and support groups of 8-12 students, offering a family-like structure and fulfilling various responsibilities such as driving, medication administration, budgeting, and reporting.
Requirements: Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably in under-served settings; legally married for at least two years; both spouses aged 27 or older; no more than three dependent children in the student home; adherence to campus rules including a smoke-free, weapon-free environment; limited pet policy; valid driver’s license and ability to drive student home vans; comfortable leading students in daily devotions and chapel services; high school diploma or GED; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; high degree of integrity; completion of individual employment applications by both spouses
